One of the most challenging marketing tasks is creating a powerful product or solution value proposition. In my experience technical product managers tend to focus on feeds and speeds. Marketing often doesn’t understand how the product solves customer problems. I frequently work with product management and marketing to create a persuasive message. It’s not easy to boil down a complex solution into a meaningful statement.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a hot trend. Organizations engage in CSR for both company conscience and business growth. Cisco CSR is a great example. I especially liked that they encouraged and doubled my charitable contributions. Most of us find ways to give back to our communities. To kick off this new consulting venture I plan to donate Tiger Team Marketing services to benefit a charitable organization each month. In March I've donated 5 hours of business and marketing services to be auctioned at the annual "Gala" Dinner of my dressage chapter. The chapter donates 50% of the proceeds Horses' Honor Horse Sanctuary. What organization do you suggest for April?
